Sports in the Park – Saturday 31st August 2013

FoSJP and the Coxford and District Youth Project teamed up with help from DC Cycles and Southampton Solent University to organise a fun‑packed day of sporting activities in St.James’ Park.
Dumbleton Park Youth Workers/Mountain Bike Instructors brought their portable northshore track from Shoretrax to the Park and ran adventure cycling sessions.
The cycle ramps went down really well, with young people queuing all day. There seemed to be a never‑ending football match, for which thanks go to the Coxford and District Youth Project’s new volunteer Dylan, and the Arts & Crafts gazebo was also well received, especially making juggling balls.
In all over 140 young people took part in the various activities.
