Open Air Play Event for Families with Children under 5 and their Siblings
Jamie’s Playtime ran over five summers from 2008 to 2012, offering a series of free activities for babies, toddlers, and children about to start school, with older brothers and sisters welcome too. Activities were themed, with guest appearances by local groups.
All events were held at St.James’ Park on Monday afternoons:
- Weather permitting
- All children to be accompanied
- Dress for mess!
Friendly health visitors and advisors were also on hand for each event.
Jamie’s Playtime was organised by Sure Start Children’s Centres with help from Friends of St.James’ Park, local parents, and health professionals, and was supported by these organisations:
