Supporting our local community since 2011
The Parklife Café is set in the grounds of St. James’ Park in a converted Air Raid Precautions (ARP) building which now houses the Café, a Community Room and toilet facilities. Parklife operates as a social enterprise, providing not only café and community room services to the local community, but also providing opportunities for volunteering, learning, and employment.
The Café has an indoor area with 16 seats, and an outdoor covered terrace with 14 seats. It’s open every day including weekends, offering a variety of good quality, freshly prepared food and drinks to suit most tastes and budgets.
Opening Hours
The cafe is open daily from 10am – 4pm and you can find the menu and latest news on the Parklife Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/parklifecommunitycafe
Please note that we may close early on occasions if it’s exceptionally quiet or during bad weather!
Community Support
Parklife supports our local community through a variety of services, including tackling period poverty, wellbeing and supporting victims of domestic abuse. The team also work with volunteers to collect and distribute food donations to those in our local community in need. These include the elderly, those with health conditions, self-isolating families and families who are suffering financially.
Parklife also has a new food collections service and a ‘take what you need’ table every day in the café in order to support local residents and families with additional food items.
