An afternoon of fun activities based around football, running, and other athletic skills. This event was organised by FoSJP as part of our Participation Project, in association with Southampton City Council Tenant Participation and two housing groups – A2Dominion and Radian Housing Group – and with funding from Hampshire Constabulary and Southampton City Council.

St.James’ Park celebrated Indian culture by hosting events at the time of the Hindu festival of Diwali.
On Tuesday 13th, free henna painting was available and the ParkLife Community Room was open for people to pop in to make Rangoli patterns and listen to the story of Diwali.
On Saturday 17th, hundreds of people came to the ParkLife Café and its surroundings, which were alive with the sound of Indian drumming and dancing alongside Diwali‑themed crafts, marking the Festival of Lights.

A FREE Craft Workshop held at the ParkLife Community Room at which volunteers could learn 3 simple craft ideas for passing onto others, as part of our new Learn 2 Love Learning initiative.
A two‑day accredited Food Safety Training course, provided by TWICS, at the ParkLife Community Room. The course was FREE for people looking to volunteer in the ParkLife Café and for people looking for café work experience to support their job search.
