Shirley Schools Centenary – Evening Presentation The FoSJP History Research Group made a presentation at an evening to celebrate the centenary of the Shirley Schools building.
Shirley Schools Centenary – Summer Fair The FoSJP History Research Group helped organise an extensive exhibition at the Shirley Schools Centenary Summer Fair of the history of the schools through the ages.
The BIG Event An estimated 2000 visitors poured into St.James’ Park to join FoSJP’s celebration of the first anniversary of the re‑opening of the Park.
Shirley Schools Centenary – Thank You Teas
Following the successful Shirley Schools Centenary celebration evening and exhibition, the FoSJP History Research Group was invited to Shirley Infant School and Shirley Junior School for “Thank You” teas.
An educational walk and talk to find out what plants our forebears might have used to survive when the Park was part of Tudor Shirley Common, organised by the Shirley Heritage Project and the Tudor Revels Project.
Throughout Summer 2012, Cardio Tennis sessions were held twice a week at the tennis courts in St.James’ Park, on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings, at a discounted price of just £2 per session.
Jamie’s Playtime A series of free activities for babies, toddlers, and children about to start school, on Monday afternoons throughout the Summer.
