Easter EGGStravORGANza - Monday 28th March 2016

Updated: 4th April 2016

Despite the worst that Storm Katie could throw at them, the valiant volunteers of FoSJP put on their annual Easter EGGStravORGANza Easter Monday event in St.James' Park.

Dave Clothier, the man who organises the various attractions on the day, had very reluctantly advised his fellow members of the Fair Organ Preservation Society that because of the awful weather forecast, they may not, understandably, wish to attend - consequently several attractions did not show. However, Dave himself brought along two playing organs and two traction engines.

And the sun actually shone! So the brave souls who turned up had a great afternoon's entertainment: the traction engine rides were very popular, together with the barbecue, stalls, and ParkLife Café, so in the end we can count it as a successful day.

Fingers crossed (as always!) for better weather at our next outdoor event.

A big Thank You to all our volunteers and to the public for supporting their local park!
