Here are recent local community work opportunities which have come to our attention.

The Society of St.James logo The Society of St.James - Administrator
Southampton, 13 hours per week spread across 4‑5 days
Permanent - scale range 16‑20, salary £17,191 – £19,393

The Society of St.James launched the Substance Misuse Support Team (SMST) in April 2016, with 4 staff providing specialist substance misuse support to offenders who are engaged with the Community Rehabilitation Company (Purple Futures) across Hampshire mainland, including Southampton and Portsmouth, to enable them to overcome substance misuse issues that have an impact upon their offending behaviour. This service is aimed at those offenders with a low to medium level of substance misuse (alcohol and drugs) who are subject to Rehabilitation Activity Requirement Court Orders.

Because of the high level of referrals and our contractual reporting requirements, the Society of St.James needs to recruit an Administrator to support the service and its Manager. The successful applicant will be highly motivated and will be able to work as part of a team, have a good knowledge of IT systems including G‑-Drive, Word, and Excel, and have good communication skills as they will be liaising with clients and contractors.

For an informal chat about this post, please contact Emma Burree or Paul Mitchell on 07951 489185.

Closing date for applications is Thursday 13th July (interviews on Monday 24th July)
